THE GIFT OF HEALTHY GIVING

Thinking about that ‘special gift’ for that ‘special person’ for the Holidays?

Marathon Bahamas has two very attractive options:

Consider a registration of the Susan G. Komen Bahamas Race for the Cure® 5k, Saturday, January 14, 2017. Registration fees are $35 per adult; $15 children under 12. Registration can be affected online at komenbahamas.org or in-person at any Sunshine Insurance Offices (East Shirley Street or Baillou Hill Road).

Marathon Bahamas or half marathon has a very special holiday gift offer for you! Register, online, for either the marathon or half marathon and receive a $10 discount by using code XMASMB. Offer is applicable from 12/16 and expires on 12/26!

CALLING ALL RELAY TEAMS

The four-person relay is a really attractive option for families, friends and colleagues who collectively run the marathon route averaging a 10k (6.2 miles). Make a commitment for a great holiday gift by forming a team and you will also be starting the year off healthy. Start your training now – you still have time to train for a 10k. Register online at marathonbahamas.com or in person at any Sunshine Insurance Offices (East Shirley Street or Baillou Hill Road).

The relay was a sold-out event in 2016. Register now to save you and your team’s spot for 2017.

Not only will you be giving a special gift but contributing towards the eradication of cancer from our community.

BENEFICIARIES OF RACE WEEKEND

Marathon Bahamas has four local charities for which 100% of all race proceeds stay in The Bahamas and divided amongst these charities for awareness, education, screening and treatment.

Cancer Society of The Bahamas

Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation

Sister Sister Support Group

Cancer Support Groups of Grand Bahama

Since inception of the event, Marathon Bahamas has donated well over $400,000 to the charities.

CALLING VOLUNTEERS

Want to be a part of the marathon but unable to participate?

Why not form a team with your family, colleagues, church members, civic group, lodge or just the community!

You can be at any point along the course (Go Slow Bend to Compass Point) to cheer on our marathoners and half marathoners during their Eastern and Western trek.

Take your cowbells, noise makers, music options, signs and tons of enthusiasm to the cheer zone to encourage the athletes. You will be rewarded with smiles, nods and gestures of thanks for the support! Half of our athletes are international participants, so show them what hospitality is all about – Running Is….Better in The Bahamas!
